I was expecting a 4-mile stroll through a picturesque canyon. Instead, I ended up hiking 6.2 miles (after deciding to turn around at 3.1 miles in) and climbing up and over (and then back up and over) one of the peaks. The state website indicates that the highest peak is 2,100′. The trail had markers along the way which was much appreciated.
Overall, it was a nice hike that is “close by” and not populated. At least, it wasn’t crowded when I was there. 🙂
This hike was taken in January 2013.
