Mojave Yucca

Mojave Yucca
“Mojave Yucca” was taken at Torrey Pines State Reserve on March 11, 2010.

At least, I think this plant is the Mojave Yucca.  Torrey Pines is a great place to view many types of coastal and desert plants, especially when they are in bloom.  The park displays a laminated identification guide near the entrance of the Guy Fleming Trail during peak season. (I am guessing that they provide this information during peak wildflower season, because I haven’t seen it there in awhile.)  Whether it is there or not, there is plenty of plant information at the visitor’s center and on their website.
